Dark Dark Dark - Wild Goose Chase (live)
Wow, this song is incredible, the performance mesmerizing. I love this genre-bending-yet-classic sound. Definitely a bit of White Hinterland in this, Edward Sharpe and even The Arcade Fire. What to call it? Indie jazz? Lounge folk?
indie rock cafe calls them their band of the week and says: “Dark Dark Dark is a hybird of musicians from New York, New Orleans and Minneapolis, including the magnificent lead vocalist and piano and accordion artist Nona Marie Invie, supported by the vocals and multi-instrumentist Marshall Lacount (banjo, piano, clarinet), two choir singers, Jonathan Kaiser on cello, and multi-instrumentalist water mcclements (piano, trumpet and accordion), plus the talents of drummer Brett Bullion and bassist Todd Chandler.”
